Richard Juggery, Managing Director, Thai Gypsum Products Public Company Limited, said, “The 10th Saint-Gobain Gypsum International Trophy hosted by Saint-Gobain Rigips Czech Republic is a massively important event within the Saint-Gobain Group, and is known by our group staff simply as ‘Prague 2016.’ Last year’s Thai National competition, the first event of its kind in Thailand, attracted a strong selection of entries, which resulted in the overall excellent feedback for the competition. It enabled us to discover three standout developments in Thailand which use Gyproc products throughout their construction. Now the three standout architects/owners, namely Architects & Associates, Architects 49 Limited Company and Mrs. Wajeeporn Taneepan (Owner of Bed by Cruise at Samakkhi-Tivanont Hotel) will represent Thailand with their magnificent projects.”

The 10th Saint-Gobain Gypsum International Trophy is a unique construction industry event, and one of the largest international competitions of its kind, created in 1998 to recognize and reward the craftsmanship of drywall and plastering contractors. The trophy aims to promote excellence and innovation in the use of sustainable, lightweight plasterboard systems and plasters.

The International Trophy campaign is organized by Saint-Gobain Gypsum subsidiaries over a two year period, starting with regional and national events, and culminating in an international competition. This year the international event is hosted by Saint-Gobain Rigips Czech Republic. Projects are entered and judged in 6 categories: plasterboard, plaster, innovation & sustainability, education, healthcare & hospitality, residential and commercial (non-residential buildings including leisure & retail) by an international and independent panel of Gypsum experts.
